Erich Metzger

An accomplished leader in the underground infrastructure industry. Currently the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of SOCOM Underground, with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, has a proven track record of tackling challenging projects within a variety of energy industry sectors. An active member of the Common Ground Alliance since 2014, Erich is serving as the Co-Chair for the National Best Practices committee. Also, a stakeholder in the California Regional Common Ground Alliance since 2018, serving on the legislative and regulatory committees. Presently serving on USA North’s Board of Directors as the construction representative. Erich’s construction experience and 23-year career in the United States Marine Corps—drives his passion to mentor the next generation of construction professionals.
