Mike Austin

I’ve been with the Las Vegas Valley Water District since June 1998, and I currently serve as a Distribution System Supervisor. In this role, I manage over 7,300 miles of distribution pipelines, 44,000 fire hydrants, 154,000 valves, and 442,000 connection points throughout Las Vegas. My team is responsible for daily repairs of water mains and lines, and we place a strong emphasis on safe excavation practices. We have established our own safety protocols for fieldwork and consistently adhere to all rules and regulations.
